We are very excited to announce that the Miami-Dade Local Advisory Council Chair, Edward Hernandez, was nominated and elected as the ASPIRA of Florida, Inc., Governing Board Chair effective July 1, 2010. Congrats, Ed! We know you will serve ASPIRA and our ASPIRANTES very well during your tenure.
As Ed moves on to the Governing Board, Marisol Gomez-Decena takes on the role of Miami-Dade LAC Chair. Marisol is an attorney with Gamba & Lombana and very active in the community. She is the current President of the Puerto Rican Bar Association, Secretary of the Miami-Dade Chapter of the Florida Association for Woman Lawyers, Board of Governor for the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar and member of the Dade County Bar Association, Cuban American Bar Association and Florida Justice Association.
The Miami-Dade LAC is comprised of community leaders from various sectors. Together the LAC will help move the Miami-Dade Division to a new level.
