Welcome Students, Parents and Staff to a new school year 2010-2011.

I am pleased to welcome you back to a new school year. We opened our doors in 1999 as ASPIRA's first Charter school. Located in the North Miami area under the name ASPIRA Youth Leadership Charter referred to as "ASPIRA North." As principal of the school since its opening, we have grown from serving 100 students to serving 600 students at the Middle School level. A new building was inaugurated August 2008. Our goals go beyond the physical plant and even beyond academic improvement. We work together with parents and/or guardians to ensure the success of every child in every area of their lives. To honour the memory of our former CEO/President, Mr. Raúl Martinez (RIP), the school name has been officially changed by the governing board as ASPIRA Raúl Arnaldo Martinez Charter School. We look forward to a very successful year under the agency's leadership of Mrs. Aymet Chaples strengthening our vision and mission to empower our youth through leadership education.
