" Leadership through Education"
Welcome students and parents to ASPIRA South Youth Leadership Charter School, where we value every student.
The Mission of ASPIRA South Charter School is to build a strong academic and moral foundation that helps students reach their potential. We teach and model skills and behaviors that empower students to become self-directed leaders of the future. We set high expectations and challenge students to be creative problem solvers and responsible, productive citizens.
Students, during your time at ASPIRA South, you will begin the process of becoming a young adult, and you will experience the desire for more independence. It's important that home and school provide the structure for each of you to grow and learn to be an independent learner.
At ASPIRA South we strive to meet the needs of all students by promoting opportunities for their social, emotional, academic, and physical growth. We have highly qualified teachers and staff that will challenge each student with their learning abilities.
Our school is equipped, among other things, with Smart Boards, which give the students the opportunity to learn like never before. Smart Boards merge computers, projectors, touch-screen technology and internet to create a unique learning atmosphere. We believe that every child can succeed and we continue to develop strategies and support that will help us reach our goals; ensuring student success and valuing the unique needs of every learner.
Parents, we also encourage you to be involved in your child's education. You are required to complete 36 community service hours per household. You can achieve them by attending parent meetings and volunteering your time at the school. We ask for your support as we ensure every child's future success.
